1. 460nm LED / 650nm and 660nm VCSEL SMD 2835 Series for Dual-Channel OEM Optical-Source Integration
This 2835 SMD series provides two separate dual-channel configurations: one combines a 460nm LED with a 650nm VCSEL, and the other combines a 460nm LED with a 660nm VCSEL. Each model is a component-level LED and VCSEL emitter configuration for compact OEM PCB integration.
The 460nm LED is specified by luminous intensity, while the 650nm and 660nm VCSEL channels are specified by optical output power. Evaluate the selected model using its source-stated electrical and optical test conditions rather than treating the two measurement bases as directly equivalent.
2. Available Models and Channel-Configuration Selection
Select the 460nm LED / 650nm VCSEL model or the 460nm LED / 660nm VCSEL model according to the required red VCSEL channel in the completed optical architecture. The supplied sources do not establish a general performance superiority between the two red-channel choices.
Both supplied 2835 configurations specify the LED at 400-600mcd with IF=20mA and the selected VCSEL at 4.8-5.2mW with IF=10mA, with a 120° LED viewing angle and 18° VCSEL full-angle divergence under their stated CW conditions.
3. 2835 Package, Electrical Interface and PCB Integration
The source identifies an 2835 SMD package with a 7mil × 7mil chip specification. Package layout, assembly process, thermal path and optical coupling should be evaluated against the customer PCB and downstream optical architecture.
For both supplied configurations, reverse drive of the VCSEL channel is prohibited. Current limiting and ESD protection are required in the final design.
4. Evaluation, Documentation and Custom Development Support
The selected 2835 series model is available as an Evaluation Kit with 10 pcs / KIT for early-stage comparison of channel drive, optical coupling, emission profile and PCB integration.
For component-level project evaluation, an Initial Product Report covering the Laser Diode Series and VCSEL Laser Diode Chip Series has been filed with the U.S. FDA CDRH. This filing supports technical documentation and product evaluation.
For applicable products, CE, EMC, EN 60825, LVD, RoHS, REACH and halogen-free certification and compliance documents are available. Documentation depends on the corresponding product model and does not represent certification of the customer's finished device.
5. Frequently Asked Questions
Does this 2835 Series combine 460nm, 650nm and 660nm in one package?
No. It covers two separate dual-channel models: 460nm LED / 650nm VCSEL and 460nm LED / 660nm VCSEL. Select the model that matches the intended red VCSEL channel.
What output values are specified for the models?
Each supplied model specifies the 460nm LED at 400-600mcd with IF=20mA and the selected VCSEL at 4.8-5.2mW with IF=10mA under the stated CW conditions.
What should be evaluated before selecting a series model?
Confirm the required channel combination, drive conditions, optical coupling, PCB layout, ESD protection and thermal conditions in the completed system.
